Our towels are 100% recyclable and made in France:

• Wipes made from 100% cotton that are biodegradable or recyclable through processing (recycling process described below).
• Packaging made from 100% recyclable PE (single-material) – recyclable via the yellow bin program (similar to water bottles)

Our towels are given a second life and turned into pellets for pellet stoves*:

Our Oshibori towels are given a second life through a recycling process. Once collected, they can be sent to a processing plant to be recycled into pellets for pellet stoves. The used textiles are incorporated into a specialized blend of high-efficiency industrial pellets or special high-calorific-value fuels (CSR HPC).

These fuels, used primarily by the cement industry, are local alternatives to fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum products. The processing of HPC RDF in the cement industry constitutes a comprehensive recovery process carried out in a single operation, involving the generation of heat through thermal treatment (organic fractions) and the recovery of material (mineral fractions).

The process thus presents itself as a sustainable and environmentally sound alternative to landfilling, supported in this regard by European directives, the AGEC Act of 2020, and the provisions of the Energy Transition for Green Growth Act (LTECV 2015)

Traceability:

You will receive a certificate of full credit in CSR HPC issued in your name. For cost reasons, this credit is only valid for customers with a significant volume of towels to recycle (minimum 1 ton).
