Our History
Franck Salama
In Japan, during tea ceremonies, a piece of cloth was dipped in hot water and offered to travelers who stopped to rest. This piece of cloth was called an oshibori.
Preserved over the centuries in Asia, the oshibori remains the most common gesture of welcome today.
To simplify this welcoming gesture, the traditional cloth was replaced by a simple damp cotton towel. In 2013, during a trip to the Nagoya region of Japan, Franck SALAMA decided to restore the Oshibori to its former glory.
An entrepreneur at heart and a hands-on leader. Franck masterfully steers the strategic direction of Oshibori Concept International.
In the spring of 2014, Liza Marshall joined Oshibori Concept International, breathing new life into the company. Drawing on her extensive experience in the luxury sector, Liza oversees the company’s business and operational development.
In recent years, Oshibori Concept has launched its Oshibori Made in France cosmetic towels on the French and international markets.
