Our story
Franck Salama
In Japan, during tea ceremonies, a piece of cloth was soaked in hot water and offered to travelers who stopped to rest. This piece of cloth was called an oshibori.
Preserved over the centuries in Asia, the Oshibori remains the most common gesture of welcome to this day.
To simplify this welcoming gesture, the proposed garment was a simple damp cotton towel. In 2013, during a trip to the Nagoya region of Japan , Franck SALAMA decided to restore the Oshibori to its former glory.
An entrepreneur at heart and a hands-on leader, Franck masterfully guides the strategy of Oshibori Concept International.
In the spring of 2014, Liza Marshall joined the Oshibori Concept International team and breathed new life into the company. Drawing on her extensive experience in the luxury sector, Liza oversees the company’s commercial and operational development.
For several years, Oshibori Concept has been marketing its Oshibori Made In France cosmetic towels in France and internationally.
Oshibori is a refreshing, scented cosmetic towel (ISO 22716 standard) that is ideal for cleaning your hands and face in any situation, even when traveling.
Oshibori Concept has decided to develop this cosmetic product for disinfectant use by launching the antibacterial Oshibori that eliminates more than 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.
Bactericide - Yeasticide - Virucide
The Antibacterial Oshibori is a 100% cotton towel, scented and impregnated with a hydroalcoholic solution for disinfecting hands and surfaces without rinsing.
