Our towels are 100% recyclable and made in France:

• 100% biodegradable cotton towels or recyclable through processing (recovery process described below).
• 100% recycled PE packaging (single material) from the yellow bin program (similar to water bottles)

Our towels are given a second life and turned into pellets for pellet stoves*:

Our Oshibori towels are given a second life through a recycling process. Once recycled, they can be sent to a treatment plant to be converted into pellets for pellet stoves. Used textiles are processed into high-yield industrial pellets or special fuels with a high calorific value (CSR HPC).

These fuels, which are primarily used by the cement industry, serve as local alternatives to fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum derivatives. The processing of CSR HPC in the cement industry involves complete recovery in a single operation, consisting of heat generation through thermal treatment (organic fractions) and material recovery (mineral fractions).

The process therefore represents a sustainable and environmentally sound alternative to landfilling, as encouraged by European directives, the AGEC 2020 law, and the provisions of the Energy Transition Law for Green Growth (LTECV 2015)

Traceability:

A Certificate of Full Recovery from CSR HPC will be issued to you in your name. For economic reasons, this certificate is only valid for customers with a significant volume of towels to recycle (minimum 1 ton).
