Recycling

Our towels are 100% recyclable and made in France :

  • 100% biodegradable cotton towels or recyclable by transformation (recovery process below).
  • 100% recycled PE packaging (single material) from the yellow bin sector (similar to water bottles)

Our towels have a second life and become granules for pellet stoves* :

Our Oshibori towels have a second via a recovery process . Indeed, once recovered, they can be sent to a treatment plant for revaluation into pellets for pellet stoves . Used textiles integrate an elaborate preparation of high-yield industrial pellets or special fuels with high calorific value (CSR HPC).

These fuels, mainly used by the cement industry, are local alternative resources to fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum derivatives. The processing of CSR HPC in the cement industry constitutes a complete recovery in a single operation, in the form of heat production by thermal treatment (organic fractions), and material recovery (mineral fractions).

The process therefore presents itself as a sustainable and virtuous alternative to the burial of waste, encouraged in this respect by European directives, the AGEC 2020 law and the provisions of the Energy Transition Law for Green Growth (LTECV 2015)

Traceability:

A Certificate of full recovery in CSR HPC will be provided to you in your name. For economic reasons, this recovery is only valid for customers with a significant volume of towels to recycle (minimum 1 tonne).
