Recycling

Our towels are 100% recyclable and made in France:

  • 100% biodegradable or recyclable cotton towels by transformation (recovery process below).
  • 100% PE recyclable packaging (single material) yellow garbage can stream (similar to water bottles)

Our towels have a second life and become pellets for pellet stoves*:

Our Oshibori towels have a second way through a recovery process. Indeed, once recovered, they can be sent to a treatment plant for revalorization into pellets for pellet stoves. The used textiles integrate an elaborate preparation of industrial pellets with high yield or special fuels with high calorific value (CSR HPC).

These fuels, mainly used by the cement industry, are local alternatives to fossil fuels such as coal and oil derivatives. The treatment of HPC in the cement industry constitutes a complete recovery in a single operation, in the form of heat production by thermal treatment (organic fractions), and material recovery (mineral fractions).

The process is therefore a sustainable and virtuous alternative to landfilling waste, encouraged by European directives, the AGEC 2020 law and the provisions of the Energy Transition Law for Green Growth (LTECV 2015)

Traceability:

A certificate of integral valorization in CSR HPC, will be provided to your name. For economic reasons, this valorization is only valid for customers having a consequent volume of napkin to recycle (minimum 1 ton).
