Oshibori recycling
A biodegradable cotton towel, a recyclable mono-material plastic sachet, and a recovery scheme for large volumes: here is what happens to our oshibori after use.
The process is simple: the towel goes with organic waste or general waste depending on your collection, the sachet with packaging recycling, the carton with cardboard. Washed at 30 °C, the towel becomes a plain dry cotton towel that you can reuse for cleaning.
For establishments that use large quantities, we offer a recovery scheme for used towels. Once collected, they are turned into high calorific value solid recovered fuel (SRF), used mainly by the cement industry in place of coal and petroleum derivatives.
This process recovers the material in a single operation: heat production from the organic fraction, material recovery from the mineral fraction. It is an alternative to landfill, encouraged by European directives, the French AGEC law of 2020 and the French Energy Transition for Green Growth law of 2015.
A certificate of full recovery as high calorific value SRF is issued in your name for each batch processed. You can include it in your CSR report.
Our oshibori are made in our factory in France, in line with the ISO 22716 cosmetics standard, with biodegradable cotton towels and a dermatologically tested lotion. Short supply chain, full traceability.
